已经完成的一些研究
* 我的博士论文《 A Narrative Research on Chinese Art Education during the 20th Century》-对20世纪中国美术教育的一个叙述性的研究。从终生学习的角度,分析了九位不同年龄的中国当代艺术家学习艺术的经历。这些艺术 家的学习经历被分为早期的艺术学习阶段, 为了成为艺术家的学习阶段和成为艺术家以后的学习阶段,同时他们的艺术学习被分为三种类型:在学校接受的正规的美术学习,课外的专业美术学习和日常生活中 的美术学习。这个研究的目的是分析艺术家们如何学习艺术,以及侧重分析不同的社会和文化背景如何影响个人的艺术学习。 同时基于论文研究的基础上制作了一个28分钟的纪录片(对艺术家的访谈)作为附件,在Youtube上您也可以看到这个记录片.
儿童是视知觉和艺术表达能力的发展。 个体的性格和经验对其视知觉和绘画表达能力发展的影响 其中在探索儿童的性格、知识和经验如何影响他们的视知觉的发展和绘画表达的研究中提出了一些对儿童美术教育有影响的观 点。其中《三个月的写生实验研究》产生了比较大的影响。主张教会学生如何把看到的东西以他们自己的绘画符号表现出来。在2001年,在参加国家美术实验教材(人民美术出版社)的编写中,通过把绘画作为一种日常生活的表达工具来学习专业的技巧, 帮助学生学会用自己的符号来表现他们看到或者知道的观点也得到了一定的体现。
An Experimental Study on Children’s Sketch
现在研究领域主要涉及三个方面:
* 从社会、经济、文化、政治、意识形态以及艺术创作领域的发展,对中国和加拿大的美术教育, 特别是艺术教育政策,学校美术课程和公众学习艺术的方式进行的比较研究。在中国参加国家艺术教育政策的研究和近现代中国美术教育史的研究过程中,我参加了 大量了田野调查研究,积累大量的第一手材料。在读博士期间,我一直在收集北美社会文化变化对艺术教育发展的影响。完成博士论文以后,现在正在写一本关于中 国和加拿大艺术教育发展比较的书。这本书主要是从我个人和加拿大和中国的一些艺术教育研究者的学习和研究经历出发,对两个社会文化背景下的艺术教育的发展 的历史和目前的状况进行分析和比较。计划2014年年初完成。
*在新的技术文化背景下,特别是在数码技术的影响下,个体视知觉的发展、视知觉习惯、审美趣 味和艺术创作的方式是如何改变的,严格的说这是一个跨学科的研究。 我目前的研究只是是通过对艺术作品的创作方式以及大众对不同艺术作品的态度进行分析和比较,并作出一些假设。希望在有这些假设的基础上,能有机会与心理学 家合作来研究这个问题。同时,在对当代艺术创作的分析的基础上, 研究新的技术文化背景下,美术课应当教什么和怎么教。关于这个研究的第一篇文章基本完成(与Cathy Mullen 教授合作)。 这篇主要包括,技术发展对生活方式,视觉创作和艺术社区的影响,以及它对学校美术课的发展的影响。在这种影响下,美术课的发展和变化。美术课程中应当做为 基本的常识来教授的内容,以及这些内容在不同的技术和媒介中扮演的角色。同时,我也和美术老师一起合作,正在 设计一些相关的课程。
*文化和自然的环境对儿童和艺术 家的作品和个体视知觉发展的影响。文化和自然的环境对儿童和艺术家的作品和个体视知觉发展的影响 是基于我一直在蒙特利尔中国社区儿童和到蒙特利尔的一些学校教美术课。 通过对蒙特利尔的儿童,加拿大中国移民儿童和中国北京的儿童之间的艺术创作进行比较研究。同时在我的毕业论文中,也涉及 到对中国当代的艺术家早期的生活环境对他们艺术创作的影响。在论文中,这种影响被看作是一种生活中的学习。下一步的计划是对一些加拿大的不同年龄的艺术家 进行访谈和对他们的艺术作品进行分析。最终能够从文化人类学的角度来进行进行对比研究。

Helping conducting research and drafting National art education policies: the National 10-year Plan for Art Education in Schools (2001 to 2010) and the Assessment standard, the Regulation of Art Education, which is the first law about art education in China, and the China’s National Countryside’s Art Education Plan.
Being a project leader of a key project for the 10th Five-year Education Plan (2001-2006) of the Ministry of Education, funded by National Youth Foundation and entitled Secondary School Students’ Ability of Art Expression Training. Fourteen elementary schools and eight secondary schools in Beijing, Shenzhen, Kunming, Taiyuan, Nanjing and their art teachers involved in this research. Helping art teachers to develop their school art curricula.
